Alternative PLL -A Reveal
"A" reveal in the perfect world:
Emily, Spencer, Hanna, Aria, Mona and Sara stumble inside –A’s lair. Sara figures out the code due to the same reason as in the real finale, she remembered the certain date, however, before they enter, Sara explains to Emily she cannot be a part of this, as it’s too much for her to handle. She hugs Emily and tells her to kick –A’s ass. Sara then leaves and calls Tanner to help the girls.
They enter –A’s control room and watch on the monitor as –A is revealed, -A (Charles) is revealed to be Wren Kingston.
All the girls, especially Spencer are in complete and utter shock from finding out Wren is Charles and –A.
We now skip to the part where Charles tells Alison his background story.
Charles is the son of Jessica DiLaurentis, who had an affair with Scott Montgomery, Byron Montgomery’s brother and Scott is his biological father.
It skips to the liars and Aria’s facial expression as they realise, Charles is not only related to Alison and Jason, but Aria and Mike too.
Charles continues his background story and tells Alison how Mr DiLaurentis at the time, didn't know Jason wasn't his son, but knew Charles wasn't. The bath incident involving Charles and Alison was an accident, but Mr DiLaurentis saw the perfect opportunity to get Mrs D's love child out of their lives, hence why he never visited.
Charles is Alison and Jason's brother and Aria and Mike's cousin, which explains why nothing too bad ever happened to Aria.
Wren (Charles) isn't a real doctor but had medical knowledge. Perfect for "A" as "A" had access to medical records, body parts etc. He stole the game from Mona, when he was pretending to be her doctor at Radley. His drawing of the woman in the redcoat, with the husband and two children, was not actually the DiLaurentis family, but actually the Montgomery family. The woman in the coat was Ella, the man was Byron and the two children, the boy and girl, were Aria and Mike.
Marion Cavanaugh and Jessica DiLaurentis were sisters and Bethany was Marion's child along with Toby, making Toby and Bethany brother and sister and cousins of Jason, Alison and Charles.
Jessica DiLaurentis visited Bethany because she was her auntie and she was also visiting her son, Charles. However, Bethany exhibited disturbing behaviour, especially jealously at the fact Jessica paid more attention to Charles than her. Jessica promised Bethany she would get her out of Radley and she would be part of their family, but she only said it to keep Bethany on side. Jessica felt Charles could be in danger, so hitched up a plan to get Charles out of Radley, by faking his death. Jessica let Charles hide-out in her other Sister Carol’s house.
Bethany finally discovered the truth how Jessica got Charles out and faked his death, this led to Bethany despising Jessica and drawing pictures of her being a liar and a monster. Later on, Bethany, Marion and Jessica were on the roof at Radley and Bethany had it in her head, how Jessica was her real mother and how she favoured all her other children over her, i.e. Alison, Charles and Jason. Jessica and Marion try to calm Bethany down, but in a fit of rage, Bethany pushes her real mother, Marion Cavanaugh off the roof top. Jessica decides to cover it up, because Bethany is still her family after all, she makes it look like a suicide to protect Bethany.
On the night in question, when Alison originally went missing, previous to this night, evidence in the show proves Alison knew Bethany and was writing to her. Alison invited Bethany over. Bethany broke out of Radley and made her way to the DiLaurentis house. Charles had prior knowledge to Bethany’s escape, as he is always one step ahead and races against time to get to Bethany first. He spots the girl, he assumes to be Bethany and knocks her out with a rock, but much to his horror, he realises he’s just hit Alison. Jessica DiLaurentis buries Alison, unaware of her still being alive.
Meanwhile, Mona, smacked another girl, assuming to be Alison over the head with a shovel, after all the years of abuse Alison has forced Mona to endure, she finally snaps. Mona is unaware the girl she hit, was actually Bethany. Not long before, Melissa saw Spencer walking off with a shovel and found the dead body of the girl she assumed to be Alison laying dead on the ground. She suspected Spencer of killing Alison, so she buried the body, completely unaware that the girl was actually Bethany Young.
Charles (Wren) blackmailed Melissa into posing as his girlfriend and working alongside him as Redcoat, however, she was also playing both sides, as Black Widow. She dressed up as Black Widow to protect her sister Spencer and helped when needed, i.e. she pulled the girls out of the lodge fire.
Charles aka Wren does love his family, but he never got to be a part of it, because of Mr DiLaurentis.
When the reveal happens, Charles explains everything to Alison, she understands him, but she is angry at all the horrible situations he has put her and her friends through.
Charles explains he suffers from a personality disorder, which at times, makes him lash out and try to punish people when things do not go his way or when he believes people are not listening. Charles' problems came with years of abuse and self loathing at Radley. His head is messed up and he explains that he targeted the other girls because he was jealous of them, because they had his sister’s time and attention, when he was never allowed to be near her. However, he admits he does generally care for them all, because he has got to know them all, without them actually knowing he was Charles. Charles was sane before being taken to Radley, however, being locked in Radley from such a young age, being blamed for an accident, how he wasn’t loved by his ‘father’ and so on, not to mention the medication he was forced to take on a daily basis, messed with his mind and he began to doubt himself.
Charles pulls Mr DiLaurentis out of a room and pushes him to the ground in front of Alison, where he tells her, Mr DiLaurentis must die, because he killed their mother. Mr DiLaurentis admits to killing Jessica in a heated argument over their past mistakes. Charles wants to kill him, because he loved his mother dearly, but Alison talks him out of it and tells him, no matter what Mr DiLaurentis has done, he is still her father and killing him would only make Charles just as bad. Alison talks him out of it and assures Charles that Mr DiLaurentis will pay for killing their mother. Charles then admits to killing Ian, because the part of him which cares for Spencer kicked in and he wanted to protect her at that time.
In the end, the girls reunite with Alison, where she introduces them to her brother, “Charles”. Although Spencer is shocked at Charles being Wren, she forgives him, along with the other girls, but they all encourage him to get the help he needs and they all agree to visit him whilst he receives the help, and because he is generally sorry and loves his family, he gives himself up and before he is taken into custody, Alison, Aria, Hanna, Emily and Spencer give him a hug.
Mr DiLaurentis is arrested for the murder of Jessica DiLaurentis by Tanner.
Sara Harvey was unfortunatly, just a temporary real-life Alison for Charles to play with.
After they take Charles away, the girls are all standing around, whilst the police search the facility for evidence. They come across a secret room, where they discover another girl (similar to the Sara Harvey situation in The Dollhouse). The police escort the girl outside and as she’s about to walk past the other girls, you hear a familiar voice say the name ‘Emily’. As Emily and the girls turn around, you see Maya standing there! Maya is Alive! It is revealed Charles kidnapped her and faked her death, because she knew too much. She lived in the DiLaurentis house for a while and stumbled across the picture of Charles etc. The body they found and thought was Maya was actually from a morgue. Charles got the body which looked like Maya to fake her death. Emily and Maya have an epic hug and we as a viewer are all sat around our televisions with tears streaming down our faces.
P.S. The PLL mum's do eventually get out of the basement, however, they can barely walk, due to being completely drunk! ;)
